Welcome to Your New Pinard

We’ve reinvented the CAM quarterly newsletter. Every three months you’ll receive all the midwifery news you need directly to your inbox, tablet, or phone.

Every issue will include the latest clinical innovations, industry updates, and inspiring stories about how midwives like you are changing lives in Canada and around the world – news we hope you’ll appreciate especially during the current pandemic.

In this issue, read all about:

The new midwives of Newfoundland

The new midwifery call centre in Haiti

And how the University of Manitoba is strengthening relationships with Indigenous communities

Join us in this new journey and share it as widely as possible. And don’t forget to bookmark this site so you can come back to it whenever you like.

New Features and a New Format

We created this site to give you more of what you’re looking for. The new site is clean and simple and easy to use with no clutter, just great stories front and centre. As time goes on, we’ll be saving all the articles into the Archives so you can go back to your favourites whenever you like. You’ll also be able to search by Category and find all the articles related to one topic.

The P is an Icon

To go along with this new format, we thought we’d update the Pinard logo. The P has been pulled out and given special treatment. The P is now an icon, wrapped in blue, evoking the shape of a pregnant belly. The shape of the P has been styled to make you think of the famous pinard horn, which now connects the outside and inside worlds – just as it does in real life.

We hope you enjoy the articles in the new Pinard and find them useful and informative.

And if you ever have a story, clinical insights, or research you think other midwives should know about, contact us at communications@canadianmidwives.org, and tell us about it. We might just include it in the next Pinard!
